How ChurchGuide.io Evaluates Churches
We believe people deserve honest, objective information when choosing a church. This page explains exactly how we work — including our methods, limitations, and commitments.
What We Show and Why
ChurchGuide.io shows objective, factual information — not ratings or rankings. We don't score churches as "good" or "bad." We surface facts that help you decide if a church is a good fit for you.
- Denomination and network affiliation — factual, as publicly listed
- Tags based on observable facts: worship style, teaching approach, available ministries
- Statement of Faith — sourced directly from the church website
- Size, service times, location — sourced from public information
- Verified status — awarded when a church has claimed and confirmed their profile
Unverified Information
Information sourced from a church's website before they have claimed their profile is labeled "unverified." This means we believe it to be accurate based on public sources, but the church has not yet confirmed it.
If you see information that appears incorrect, you can always use the "Request a correction" link on any church profile.
What "Verified" Means
A Verified badge means a church has claimed their profile and confirmed their information is accurate. Verified churches can also update service times, photos, and events.
Importantly — verified status does not mean ChurchGuide.io endorses or recommends the church. It simply means the factual information has been confirmed by the church itself.
Our Commitments
